Fun Circle participants explore and experience playing drums and percussion together, as part of a group. The session is facilitated using tried and tested "in the moment" music and music improvisation techniques. Participants are actively encouraged to use their imagination and express themselves. The programme is adapted to participants need and much emphasis is put on group safety and inclusion. All participants are encouraged to join in, this activity is about taking part - if you are in the room you are warmly invited to participate. Fun Circles utilise a variety of instruments and depending on an individual or group need, may range from conga, djembe, ashiko and frame drums through a broad range of percussion, including claves, agogo and mini hand bells, guiro, maracas, caxixi, ganza and devil chasers. Adapted instruments are available for people with special needs and dedicated workshop instruments like boomwhackers and sound shapes for colour based musical games.
